Title: Foreign Specialist Professional with Expertise in Sports Ch

Content: Basis:
Subparagraph 2, Article 4 of the Act for the Recruitment and Employment of Foreign Professionals
Notice:
A foreign specialist professional possessing specific expertise in sports must meet one of the following criteria:

1. The person has served as an athlete in a national team, has outstanding skills and  helped improve the sporting competitiveness of the ROC, and the person has achieved one of the following accomplishments:
(1) finishing in the top eight in an official sport at the Olympic Games.
(2) finishing in the top three in an official sport at the Asian Games.
(3) finishing in the top three in an official sport at the World Games.
(4) finishing in the top three in an official sport at the Universiade.
(5) finishing in the top three in a sport  in a World Championship or World Cup competition.

2. The person has served as a national team coach, guided athletes to achieve outstanding achievements in competitions and helped improve the sporting competitiveness of the ROC, and one or more national teams that the person coached  achieved one of  the following accomplishments:
(1) finishing in the top eight in an official sport at the Olympic Games.
(2) finishing in the top three in an official sport at the Asian Games.
(3) finishing in the top three in an official sport at the World Games.
(4) finishing in the top three in an official sport at the Universiade.
(5) finishing in the top three in a sport  in a World Championship or World Cup competition.

3. The person has served as a referee for an official sport at the Olympic Games, Asian Games, World Games or Universiade and has  helped improve the sporting competitiveness of the ROC.

4. The person previously held or currently holds a position in the sports industry in a foreign country or in the ROC, has received one or more letters of recommendation issued by a national sports organization in the ROC which is fully qualified for official membership of an international sports association, by a professional sports league in the ROC, by the National Sports Training Center or by a university or tertiary college in the ROC, and the person has the potential to make a contribution to the sports industry of the ROC.
